P wave analysis - Arrhythmic risk stratification

The P wave is the electrocardiographic representation of the atrial depolarization.
Differences in the electrical activity of contiguous cells create the conditions for an increase in electrical regional heterogeneity, a crucial factor contributing to the onset of atrial arrhythmias.

High-definition P-wave analysis is a non-invasive atrial electrophysiology test and can provide useful information for identifying patients at risk of developing atrial arrhythmias.

Please if you have a hairy chest they might need to shave some hair off: this will help the pads to stay on your chest.

This test is conducted as a normal resting electrocardiogram (ECG) and it takes about 20 minutes.
Three electrodes with shielded cable positioned according to an orthogonal XYZ system are applied to the patient's chest.
It is important that the patient is as still as possible during the exam.
