The cardiovascular examination is a medical examination in which a cardiologist assesses the cardiovascular system health.
This examination is aimed at the correct prescription and pharmacological management of Oral Anticoagulant Therapy (TAO).
Oral Anticoagulant Therapy aims to reduce the risk of clot formation in patients with high thrombotic risk.
The cardiovascular examination has no contraindications.
The cardiovascular examination has no risks.
The execution of this examination does not include preparation rules.
Please bring all your medications or a list of them with doses to your appointment.
Please, recent complete blood count, renal and hepatic functions are required.
The cardiovascular examination consists of the following phases:
- collection of patient anamnesis
- physical examination of the cardiovascular system
Additional diagnostic tests may be required.
